This morning we're paying homage to a classic film and one of my many faves starring the amazing red haired 1980's teen queen Molly Ringwald "The Breakfast Club". Each character in this film brings their own amazing sense of style which clearly depicts their personality, lets compare Molly the pretty in pink teen queen to the ultra dark and gloomy Ally Sheedy in this scene. Molly uses pink and purple hues to highlight her bubbly personality and pick up the fire red of her hair while Ally drowns herself in black (a great color by the way). I'd love to see a collab of the two styles maybe pairing Molly's purple hue skirt with Ally's skin tone colored shirt keeping molding stud studs and high boots adding dark eye liner, pink lip gloss, and that fab lil clutch -Now thats a winning combination.

Hey Lovelies,
Today I attended a natural hair workshop and shopping event, called "Own Your Natural" in NYC and I decided to mix something vintage and handmade. I'm wearing my Olia Design dream catcher earrings handcrafted from gold wire and quartz; a gemstone said to amplify and energizer. I paired them with an iconic 1970's silk tie neck blouse for an extra added flair I chose one with hues of red, grey, blue, brown, and black. Of course I'm wearing my hair in a natural style referred to as a braid out, to achieve this look braid wet hair and let dry, once hair is completely dry release braids for a wild fun look (great for any hair type). Below the waist I'm wearing skinny legged dark blue denim and platform grey heels. I love this look and I can't wait to repeat with other accessories. |
