Today I'm feeling a little sluggish and I needed an afternoon pick me up. There's nothing like a smoothie rich with vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber to combat that 2:30 feeling of fatigue. FYI I think this is literally the best smoothie I've ever made. | Ingredients

Ok ladies so let's break it down between work, school, kids, relationships, and other personal and professional obligations it's easy to lose ourselves in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We often find ourselves saying, “Maybe next year I’ll do that,” or “I’ll get into that when I have more free time". The reality for many is that they never will do "it"; whatever "it" is. With 3 weeks into 2016 I've compiled a list of a few things I've accomplished by 30 (FYI I'm 32 now). I hope this inspires you to make your own list. Remember beauties no goal is too small and every little step counts. 1.Learn a different language
2.Travel outside the country 3.Learn to spend time alone & enjoy it 4. Go on an all girls trip 5.Get into your dream job 6.Create a vision board (Pinterest) 7.Have a rainy day account for emergencies 8.Learn to change a tire 9.Have the prefect little black dress 10.Find your passion in life 11.Fight for a cause 12.Figure out who your real friends are 13.Embrace what makes you awesome 14.Let go of the past 15.Learn to cook 16.Fall completely head over heals in love with yourself 17.Invest in life insurance 18.Get a regular work out routine 19.Know what you want in your future husband, can't find him if you don't know what you're looking for 20.Try out for something crazy (a commercial, acting gig, modeling gig) 21.Mentor someone (invest in someone else) 22.Understand your personal style 24.Learn to meditate 25.Start a gratitude journal (Learned this from the law of attraction) 26.Develop a sleep schedule 27.Date someone outside of your comfort zone 28.Start a small business or a blog 29.Learn to get over a broken heart 30.Learn to invest money wisely From Jan 7th-14th I spent my days basking in the Cuban sun, enjoying the beautiful people, and embracing the lifestyle and culture. This was the trip of a lifetime once forbidden to US citizens Cuba is now open for travel with special exceptions please visit US Passport & International Travel for details. Havana, cubaHavana which is actually pronounced "Habana" is the largest Cuban City, home to over 2 Million people. It is the epicenter of life in Cuba, full of markets, events, historic structures, culture, amazing food, and vibrant people. Honestly you can't say you've been to Cuba without going to Habana. #{Money} If you're thinking of traveling to Cuba in the near future, it's very important to understand that the country operates with two currencies. The CUC which is the convertible tourist money and the CUP national citizen money, as a tourist the CUP is not available for use. The US dollar has strong value in the country and is 1 to 1 with the CUC, in CUP it converts to about 1 to 25. Prices are noted in both CUC and in CUP, they do not accept foreigner currency. It's mandatory to convert your money prior to use. For details on currency exchange it's best to use a Currency Converter {Historic Site} Hotel Ambos Mundos stands in Old Habana. It was built in 1924 and was once home to Ernest Hemingway for seven years during the 1930's . It is often noted that the writer would sit by his bedroom window and compose his poetry and novels in the nude. Hemingway rented apartment #511 for $1.50 a night when he wasn't writing he often spent his time local bars and fishing. Today the structure stands as a very active tourist site. {Historic Site} La Catedral de la Virgen María de la Concepción Inmaculada de La Habana, is one of the oldest churches in Cuba built in 1748 the structure stands in excellent condition. Also now a very popular tourist site and for a fee you can take a tour inside. El Capitolio, the national building in Havana was constructed during the 1920's during America's occupation of the country. It serves as a reminder of American influence in Cuban culture. For more information about the structure please visit >>> LINK . Unfortunately I was unable to take a look inside the building but from my understanding it houses one of the largest statues in the world, and is very details in it's overall design with lavished gold accents and fine art throughout the structure. Santa clara, cubaErnesto Che Guevara, also known as el Che or simply Che, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla leader, diplomat, military theorist, and very close friends with Fidel Castro. His body is housed in Santa Clara, Cuba. Apparently following his death Fidel had his remains found and buried in the that city. There you can visit the Museum of Che Guevara, Santa Clara is noted as the last battle site of the Cuban Revolution. The battle of 1958 was lead by Che and his partner Camilo, that battle crippled Batista (the president) and helped Fidel gain power of the country. Below are some photo's of Santa Clara, the capital city of the Cuban province Villa Clara. This is the 5th largest city in Cuba with a population of about 250,000. It's time to say goodbye to Threadflip, the online consignment shop launched in 2011 and saving woman around the US tons of money and reviving pre-loved fashion. The company announced last week that it would terminate it's buying and selling operations and roll into a clothing rental startup Le Tote. I'm so sad to see Threadflip go, they've faced tons of competition for other sites such as Thredup, Vinted, and Poshmark. I'm curious to see how Le Tote works, I don't have any experience with the online rental site but for those of you interested Threadflip offered an exclusive promo code which offers 60% off your first month, using code: THREADFLIP. Fashion alert ladies for 2016 it's all about Androgyny, the lines between feminine and masculine style is blurring and characters like Ruby Rose have taken center stage. If many of you remember the Aussi beauty made her acting debut during "Orange is the New Black". Fans went wild, now to understand her style and how to apply it. Let's start with the blazer skip the form fitting contoured blazer and leather jackets and head for straight cut. Basic white tees are also great for creating the style. Loafers, either in a basic black or cut wild colors such as red, blue, even gold; chunky watches, stud earrings, and boyfriend cut jeans. |
