A must if you visit New Orleans Cafe Du Monde, open all year around and all day this Nola hot spot is prefect for grabbing a cafe au lait and beignets. bon appetite.... nothing like a warm doughy treat with powdered sugar and toasted chickory cafe au lait.
Hi ladies, so last week I spent a few days in New Orleans and I had the pleasure of having breakfast at Brennan's in the French Quarters district. What's the setting? Very old french, there was a live band playing music in the background. The room totally covered in green and pink. What's on the menu? Grits with cajun shrimp as an appetizer and for my main course duck eggs yum. It was my first time having duck, but in all honesty I couldnt tell the difference between that and hen eggs. I love the fact that the coffee has chikory, I love the smokey taste. This is some of the best coffee I've had in a while. The Finale
Banana Foster served with vanilla ice cream, who says you cant have sweets for breakfast Ok ladies I'm loving Lush's Dark Angels cleanser. Its a blend of black sugar, charcoal, avocado oil, rhassoul mud, sandalwood oil, and rosewood oil. When I was initially introduced to the cleanser I can admit I was a bit standoffish after all is charcoal base and I wasn't to familiar with the use of charcoal in beauty products. After my first use I must say I love it. Before using the cleanser I wash my face with a gentle face wash to remove all makeup and oils. Then I use a warm towel to open my pores, after I mix the dark angel scrub with a bit of warm water I lightly scrub. I'm sure you're wondering why I cleanse before using a cleanser well its simple, the dark angel has so many wonderful oils and I rather remove the dirt and grim before sealing the moisture and oils in my skin. The smell is great reminds me of a lavender mist, not too strong.
Nothing complements well manicured nails better than an assortment of bold and brightly colored cocktail rings. In the recent month I've developed an obsession for the oversized jewels and I'm sure you will too after viewing this under $50 collection.
Foodie Alert: Looking for top notch pizza in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn Barboncino is your place. This classic style brick oven pizzeria has a great atmosphere very earthy and reclaimed. The serves was excellent very friendly. We laughed we chit chatted, they offered recommendations. I had both the Arugula pizza drizzled with spicy oil and the speck; which is cremini mushrooms, sliced red onions, oregano and extra virgin olive oil. It's very hard for me to pick a favorite they were both extremely good. For dessert I kept it simple I had the 3 scoop gelato; salted caramel, dolce leche, and vanilla.
Who says you have to travel all the way to Paris to dine at a beautiful Parisian bistro. Chat Noir offers a fine blend of vintage French chateau meets cozy cottage. The table wear is adorned with beautiful pink flowers, walls with gold accents trimming, windows with raise panel detailing, paisley decorative pillows, fresh cut flowers, linen table clothe, and French artwork. They offers a wide range of dining options and all with whimsical names such as "Whisker Lickin" "Skinny Cat" and "Real Cats Eat". I enjoyed the "Banana Foster French Toast" from the morning classic section, it was absolutely delicious made with two thick slices of brioche bread dripping with rum and maple syrup topped with slices of freshly cut bananas. While my bestie, Sedina had the "Toad In The Hole" a simple yet delicious fried egg on brioche with a side of freshly cut fruits and berries.
